NIGERIAN INTERNET SCAM TARGETS LOCAL HOMES RENTERS

BAY VILLAGE — It sounds like a great deal and it would be if it was true. A bogus Craigslist ad touted a big lakefront home in Bay Village, offering to rent it for $800 a month. The ad claims the owner was transferred to Nigeria by his employer. The house is owned by a doctor who still lives there and is selling it through Howard Hanna Realty. At least eight people called the agent handling the listing to inquire about the rental advertisement. To read the rest of the story, click here.
